Shower resolutions

You all must have experienced this. Don't you all know that moment, when you're standing under the shower, and you think: "Where am I going with my life?". Then, you just stand there under the shower. Just standing. And thinking.
I'll be standing like this tomorrow morning, I'm sure.
I'll think: Why am I so undisciplined (didn't do much studying today)? Or: I should probably call my parents more often. Or: I'm really going to do hard work for school from now on.
So, after you've set yourself some goals, you shower on. You dry off, step out of the shower and... POOF! Gone are your goals. Your "shower resolutions". You forget all about them and just keep on living your life like you're doing now.

There should really be a name for this phenomenon. And we should pay some clever scientist people to do some research. Because I'd really like to know how to keep to my "shower resolutions".

Let me know what your shower resolutions are!

I have no life...

... according to the schedule guy at my school.
He thinks our (I say our because this is not just for me) lives exist of nothing but school. Yep, sure, we don't have to work. We don't have to meet friends. We don't have to meet family. We don't have to eat in time. We don't have to do homework for other subjects. We don't have sports. Nah, are you kidding, why would we have anything else to do?!

You're probably wondering what the guy did. Well, I just got my new schedule and I'm supposed to be at school until 17.30 (5.30 pm for all you 12-hour clock people) four (4, 2x2, 2^2, 10-6) days a week!
So basically, I can just stop looking for a new job, since I won't have any time after school anyway. Also, one would expect that this would at least be compensated with, let's say, a day off or something. But noooooooo, that's too much to ask.

Let's just hope I've looked at the schedule the wrong way or something like that...

Well, sorry for this whining session, but I just had to get it out.

EDIT: Turns out I was mistaken. Still have a pretty full schedule though, so the whining is still valid!

Wiegel Meirman Snitker - Nova Zembla (Armin van Buuren Remix)

Just wanted to share this one with you guys, since it's an amazing track.
It's a remix of the soundtrack of the first Dutch 3D film, Nova Zembla.
It's a really cool trance track, as we're used from Armin.

Nice jobs

This morning I received a very special e-mail. At first, I thought it was nothing, since the sender was my employment agency again. You see, I get e-mails every other day from my employment agency, always stating that they have work for me as a telemarketer. But not this time. No, they had something really special for me, a job that would involve a great deal of responsibility. They wanted me, a 18-year old (almost 19 by the way... YAY) guy, without any prior education in the field, to work as an...

*insert drum roll here*

Air-traffic controller

Yep, "Dafuq" was my first reaction too. Yeah, sure, why not! I'll take the responsibility of hundreds of human lives. No problem! Hmm, I'll just let that plane go there, and then that one goes there. Now we land this one and... Oops! I just sent 660 passengers (actual Boeing 747 passenger capacity) to the next plane (no pun intended) of existence. Well, what do you know? I wasn't that suitable for the job after all!
Now, if they do want me to work in the air-traffic branch, I think a job as a cleaner on the airport would be more suitable for me at the moment. No endangering lives there! Unless I mop the floor a bit too wet and people slip and break their necks or something like that... But that could happen to anyone, right?

So, what I'm trying to say here is, although I might have been laid off at the Albert Heijn, I think I won't take the job. Just sayin'.

Now I'm off to school for some hardcore Spanish studying.

As always, comments are most welcome!

¡Hasta luego!

And we're off!

So, this will be my first official blog post!

Don't mind any typos or slight spelling/grammar mistakes please. I write this blog to improve my English. I know I'm probably the biggest grammar nazi of you all, but... Ah fuck, who am I kidding. I am indeed the biggest grammar nazi you probably know, so go ahead and make fun of my grammar/spelling as you please, I'd probably deserve it anyway.

I'm drifting of a bit their (bonus points for not pointing out the obvious here), so let's get back to it.
Today, Jeroen Derks, a friend of mine, posted something on my Facebook that changed my day for the better. You see, a while ago I got some really horrific news... Hard Bass (epic hardstyle rave party) is sold out and I won't be there. So yeah, there you have it, that's pretty horrible news, I know. So, what was I going to do now? Well, Jeroen managed to cheer me up by informing me about another great party...

ENERGY 2012!

This shit is going to be so freakin' epic, I'm so sure of that! Just have a look at this line-up:

Yep, pretty amazing, isn't it? So, Jeroen and I are planning to buy the tickets this Saturday. Let's just hope it's not going to be sold out like Hard Bass. If it is sold out, Jeroen and I already arranged for our departure from this planet.
Nah, just kidding, we wouldn't kill ourselves. We would start cutting ourselves though. Nah, also just kidding. We would scream for hours. Yep, I think that's what we would do.

Now, I think that's enough blogging for today, I'm gonna go to bed now.

Please, let me know what you think!

Good night y'all!

Ladies and Gentlemen...

I present you:

My first blog!

I'm finally going to try and venture into the world of blogging. Let's see if I like this thing.
I'm already having some trouble creating a good layout for the nonsense that comes out of my brain.

Now, as you might have expected, this blog will contain mostly my (nonsensical) experiences or other stuff that might just pop up in my head. I'll write everything in English, although some posts might be in Dutch if I feel like it. That's right, I said it, it's MY blog so I'm not going to tell you what you want to hear. I'm egocentric like that, sorry!

So, you may or may not like this blog, but I'm pretty sure I'll get better at writing if I keep this up long enough. And of course, a good motivator would be actual readers.

Well, this is what it's about basically, I don't think I'm done with the introduction here. My first post will soon follow!

See you next post!
